# Create production API keys

> Create pk_live_* / sk_live_* credentials for your live website.

Production API keys return **real ACTIVE reviews** for your organization profile. Create them only after sandbox embeds work.

## Who this is for

Teams ready to ship a public website, mobile WebView, or server-side partner integration.

## Dashboard steps

**1. Open API keys**

Go to **Integrations → API keys** in the [dashboard](https://app.ethioreview.com).

**2. Create a PRODUCTION client**

| Field | Value |
| - | - |
| Name | e.g. `Marketing site` |
| Environment | **PRODUCTION** |
| Allowed origins | Live domains only (`https://www.yoursite.com`) |

**3. Copy credentials once**

* **Publishable key** — `pk_live_*` for browser widgets
* **Secret key** — `sk_live_*` for your backend (shown **once**)

**4. Link a production widget**

Under **Integrations → Review widgets**, create a widget with environment **PRODUCTION** and link it to this API client.

## Environment match

| Key | Widget environment |
| - | - |
| `pk_live_*` | **PRODUCTION** only |
| `pk_test_*` | **SANDBOX** only |

Mixing a live key with a sandbox widget (or the reverse) returns `403`.

## One failure mode

**Staging origin still on the production client** — remove localhost and preview URLs from production **allowed origins** before go-live so only real customer traffic can load the widget.
