# Dashboard Sandbox test

> Preview synthetic testimonials and copy embed snippets from the business dashboard.

**Integrations → Sandbox test** is the in-dashboard playground for sandbox widgets. You pick a sandbox API client and sandbox widget, see a live preview, then copy org ID, publishable key, and code snippets.

## Who this is for

Developers who want a working snippet without leaving the [dashboard](https://app.ethioreview.com). Also useful for business owners verifying that sandbox credentials work before handing them to an agency.

## Prerequisites

* A **SANDBOX** API client under **Integrations → API keys** (`pk_test_*`)
* A **SANDBOX** widget under **Integrations → Review widgets** linked to that client
* The dashboard origin added to the client's **allowed origins** so the preview can load

## Dashboard steps

**1. Open Sandbox test**

Go to **Integrations → Sandbox test**.

**2. Select sandbox client and widget**

Choose an active sandbox API client and sandbox widget from the dropdowns.

**3. Confirm the preview**

Synthetic testimonials should render in the business preview panel. They do not change live ratings.

**4. Copy developer values**

Copy organization ID, publishable key, and HTML / React / iframe snippets for your local app.

## Copy-paste (what you typically get)

```html theme={null}
<script async src="https://cdn.ethioreview.com/widget.js"></script>
<review-widget
  data-base-url="https://api.ethioreview.com"
  data-public-key="pk_test_YOUR_KEY"
  data-widget-id="YOUR_SANDBOX_WIDGET_ID"
></review-widget>
```

## One failure mode

**Empty preview with a warning to create keys** — you still need a sandbox client under **API keys** and a sandbox widget under **Review widgets**. After creating them, add the dashboard site origin to **allowed origins**, then refresh **Sandbox test**.

## Next

Wire the copied snippet into a [local sample app](/sandbox/sample-app.md), or continue with the [widget quickstart](/quickstart.md).
