Every API client has an allowed origins list. Browser widget requests must come from a matching origin. Server-to-server calls that use the secret key do not need an origin entry.

Who this is for

Anyone embedding the review widget in a browser (HTML, React, Next.js, WordPress, Shopify, or iframe).

Dashboard steps

1

Open the API client

Go to Integrations → API keys and select the client you use for embeds.
2

Edit allowed origins

Add one origin per line (or as the form accepts). Examples:
3

Save and retest

Reload your page. If you use Integrations → Sandbox test, add the dashboard origin so the live preview can load.

Rules

  • Include the scheme (http or https)
  • Include the port for localhost (http://localhost:3000)
  • Do not include a path (https://www.yoursite.com/reviews is wrong)
  • Do not include a trailing slash
  • An empty allowlist blocks all browser widget traffic

Copy-paste check

From your browser console or a local page, the widget sends something like:
If Origin is not on the allowlist, the API returns 403 and the browser reports a CORS error.

One failure mode

Preview deploy URLs change every push (Vercel/Netlify preview hosts). Either add each preview origin, use a stable staging domain, or test with sandbox keys only on localhost until you promote to a fixed staging URL.
